Your Engagement Session
This is our first chance to get to know each other with a camera in my hand before your wedding day! I believe engagement sessions are not only SO fun, but absolutely essential to the flow of your wedding day. This is the time when I teach you how to pose, all my tips and tricks, and how I work with my couples. That way, even if we are pressed for time on your big day, we can capture SO many portraits because you both already know what to do! We can be fast and efficient! Plus, you are already confident and know how to rock it! Trust me, these sessions are an absolute blast!
What to expect:
These sessions can last anywhere from 1-2 hours, depending on if we choose one location or two. You are also welcome- if not encouraged- to bring an outfit change! I offer a mix of very direct posing, as well as fun prompts. But don't worry- I always tell you what to do with your hands, feet, where to look, etc. I have a very upbeat and outgoing personality so we definitely have tons of fun, too! We walk around and explore the location and chat all about your wedding and get to know each other!
Locations:
The location you choose for your session should definitely represent you both! Are you envisioning something more nature oriented like a pretty park or field? Would you prefer an urban and trendy spot instead? You are also allowed to choose two locations if they are within a short drive of each other (about 10 minutes or less). So maybe a little bit of both?! I also recommend considering what outfits you want to wear and if they fit the setting you want! If you don't have anything specific in mind- I have TONS of ideas and recommendations! I'd love to help!
Outfits:
This is definitely one of my favorite parts of planning your session!!! I love how changing outfits brings so much variety and personality to your images! I would suggest having one more dressy outfit, and one more casual. My biggest advice, is to choose things that you are genuinely comfortable in. If you don't feel good in what you are wearing, it is likely to show up in your photos. I also tend to gravitate towards neutrals, and neutral pieces paired with fun pops of color or textures! You and your fiancé do not have to exactly match. Think more complimenting colors instead! You can't go wrong with creams, tans, and light colors such as blue, pink, mustard yellow, or shades of green. I also recommend smaller patterns, balanced out with solid pieces! Also take into consideration what location you would like, and what season your session is in. Please feel free to text me with photos of outfits and choices and I can help!!! Payment Information and Gallery:
Your session is complimentary when you book your wedding with me! If booked separately it is $550. You then receive your fully edited gallery within about 3-4 weeks of your session! Clients receive anywhere from 150-180+ images- woo hoo! I also give you color and black and white options! Anything I make black and white (which is just up to my creative discretion), I also give you the exact same image in color! Just because I like it in black and white, doesn't mean you do. So I make sure to offer my clients both options! You will receive your gallery via email where you are free to download/print/share as you please! Easy peasy!
